How Tall Are Chimps?

A fully grown adult male chimpanzee stands, on average, three to four feet tall, although they can reach heights of about five and a half feet. Female chimps are usually slightly smaller, at heights closer to two to three and a half feet.

Chimpanzees bear striking resemblances to human beings in a number of ways. Their height range, of between 3.0 and 5.5 feet for males and 2.0 to 3.5 feet for females, is just one example of how chimps are similar to people (albeit slightly smaller).
