The world's tallest dog is still living; so, the tallest living dog is also the world's tallest dog ever!

From paw to shoulder, the world's tallest dog is 43 inches long, which is equivalent to three feet and seven inches. From head to tail, he is seven feet and three inches long! Imagine when he stands up on his hind legs! Chances are, you do not personally know any human beings who are that tall, or who are even close to being that tall.
It probably comes as no great surprise that the tallest dog in the world is a Great Dane. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, his name is George and he weighs 245 pounds. His owner is named David Nasser, and the dog's paws are bigger than Nasser's hands! The "little guy" is only four years old, and he also goes by the name of Giant George.
He lives in Tucson Arizona, where he sleeps in his very own queen sized bed and he eats approximately 110 pounds of dog food each and every month. He also loves to ride around in a golf cart with his owner. He is a very gentle dog, who loves to play in the park and run around with other dogs.
In February of 2010, George appeared on an episode of Oprah. During his visit there, he sat on the couch.
