Has Art Bell passed away or vanished from the scene? The answer to this question is no.
On Christmas Eve 2010, an affiliate of the Art Bell show said that "We had asked Art to do his predictions show; he's going to spend time with his family. He's winding down, folks, he's winding down....I don't anticipate he'll do any more shows."
One of the reasons why there seems to be mystery surrounding Art Bell is because he has retired from his show, Coast to Coast AM, four times. His show is based on life after death experiences and other sorts of strange phenomena of the paranormal breed, which seems to make the whole situation even creepier.
Here is a list of Bells' retirements. Then we will go on to look at the events of his life in the past few years.
However, he was still listed as doing 15 shows per year.
Now we will go through the past few years of Bell's life in order for you to see what happened to him. We are starting at 2006, instead of 2007 where our list left off, only because there was a significant, life altering, traumatic event that occurred in 2006 for him.
On January 5, 2006, his wife, Ramona Bell, passed away unexpectedly. She had an acute asthma attack and died at the very young age of 47.
However, by April 15, 2006, Art Bell announced that he had gone to the Philippines and married Airyn Ruiz only four days before. They had a baby together who was born on May 30, 2007.
As we have already mentioned, his daughter was born and he announced that he was retiring once again.
Art Bell hosted a couple of shows during this year. He also lost his mother this year. A couple of the shows that he hosted were as follows:
Once again, Bell returned to host several editions of his show during this year.
This year is the one where everything really gets cryptic. The last time that he hosted was on Halloween. As of December 18, he was no longer listed as a host on the website and information can only be found about him in the archives. He will not be doing the annual New Year's prediction show either. On December 21, Art's ham radio website read,
"The Wind No Longer Blows, in the End it was Without Direction. Long Live the Hot Air. 30"
That information is the most up to date that anyone has. We shall have to see what future years bring in Art Bell's career and what else will happen to Art Bell.
