Sometimes, when we think of Sears, we think of all sorts of tools and appliances. This slogan implies that these are not the only goods sold at Sears, and they want people to know about their clothing, bedding, and so forth as well. Additionally, using the phrase "the softer side of Sears" makes people think of an old friend or someone else whom they are comfortable with. It is an alluring campaign slogan to captivate the senses.
