Computer hackers can range in experience from novice to expert. Because there are all different kinds of hackers, sometimes it is brazenly obvious that your computer has been hacked while in other situations the hacker is discreet to the point that you may not notice anything’s different for quite some time.
There are a few different things you can look for in order to determine if your computer has been hacked into.
The most obvious way to tell if your computer’s been hacked into is if you notice that your computer settings or your different account settings have been changed without your permission or without your own doing. If the hacker didn't change anything, in order to tell if an expert hacker has tapped into your hard drive, you may have to do some serious computing.
Another telltale sign that your computer has been hacked is a decrease in your computer’s performance times. Hackers often access other people’s computers with the intention of using them as information resources, or with the hope of using them for their own computing needs. When this occurs, your processor’s performance may be lagging because of different processes being constantly run on your computer while you’re trying to use it.
If you experience any of these symptoms, you may want to take your computer to a professional to not only diagnose whether or not it’s been hacked, but also to ensure that the hack is severed and isn’t able to reconnect to your settings again.
