How to Install Limewire
Limewire is a file sharing program that works on a peer-to-peer basis. Decide on a Version
The Limewire software has two different programs:

Installing the Program

- Determine which operating system you are using in your computer. Go to the Limewire website and make sure that the program is compatible with your computer’s operating system. This is necessary before you download any program or software to your computer, and the Limewire software is no different.
- After you determine whether to use the Pro or the Basic software, click the “Download Limewire” heading on the website and the files will be extracted to your computer automatically.
- Once the files have been extracted to your computer, you will be guided through a process that involves the installation of the Limewire program.
- You will be prompted by the program to allow it to be installed, and there will be different prompts that allow you to determine where on your computer the program will be sent as it’s installed. In most cases, you will not have to change anything as you’re guided through the installation process, you’ll simply continue to click the “next” heading any time a new screen comes up. You should, however, make sure that the Limewire software is being sent to your “C” drive (on Windows) or your Applications folder (on Mac) so that you’re able to use it properly while your computer is running.
Finishing Up a Limewire Install
Once you’ve installed the program, you’ll have to agree to the copyright provisions that are stated in the program, which basically indicate that Limewire is not responsible for the content that you search for and decide to download. If you do not click “I Agree” and then “Finish,” the program will not be allowed to launch.
