Producing a list of the greatest oldies songs is at least somewhat subjective. First of all, the term "oldies" is relative. Songs identified as an oldie today could have been a number one top hit 10, 20, 30 or more years ago. Secondly, different people have various opinions about which songs should be considered the "greatest."
Research using a couple of sources, combined with studies with general opinions about oldies music has produced a fairly comprehensive list of the best oldies songs.
Included in the list are both the title of the song and the name of the artist.
