What Movie Did Bow Wow Star In?

Bow Wow has had two major movie appearances: he was in Like Mike and he was in Johnson Family.

Bow Wow began a successful rap music career, followed by his movie debut at the age of 15.  So, what movies did Bow Wow star in? Here are some facts about Bow Wow’s movie appearances:

• Bow Wow’s first film appearance was in the film Like Mike.  At age 15, Bow Wow played a boy who has magic sneakers that make it possible for him to play basketball in the NBA.  The movie featured several basketball stars with cameo appearances.  The NBA presence helped to lend further credibility and weight to Bow Wow’s performance in the film.
• In 2004, at age 17, Bow Wow made his next film appearance in Johnson Family Vacation.  This movie gives an African-American flavor to the “Vacation” movies starring Chevy Chase in the 1980s.

Bow Wows Beginnings

Born on March 9, 1987, Shad Gregory Moss, also known as Bow Wow, got his debut at the tender age of 6, when he jumped on stage at a Snoop Dog performance and began rapping.  Moss’ performance got Snoop Dog’s attention, and the latter - a famous rap music legend - took Moss under his wing, giving him the “Bow Wow” name.

As of 2010, Bow Wow has only been in two movies; however, given his rising stardom both as a rapper and an actor, Bow Wow is likely to have future appearances in Hollywood productions.
