Which Music Artist Has Sold the Most Records?

Music buffs and even casual fans want to know which music artist has sold the most records. Possible guesses could be The Beatles, Michael Jackson, or Frank Sinatra; however, none of them are correct. The correct answer is Elvis Presley.

Elvis, known as the King of Rock 'n Roll, certainly earned his title. Between 1954 and 1977, he recorded 77 albums. Seventy-seven albums in 23 years comes out to approximately three or four albums per year. That is pretty fascinating, since many music artists go at least a couple of years between their albums. 

We will never be sure, but we can be certain that he would have gone on to continue with his success. Of his 77 albums, 68 of them reached the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart. He was not only creating albums at a rapid pace, he was creating quality albums. Even after he passed away, his albums were continually sold and reissued, bringing his record sales up even higher. Over one billion records of his records have been sold.
