So many talented individuals are presented with Grammy Awards each year that keeping track is difficult.

Sir Georg Solti is the individual who has won the most Grammy Awards. He lived from October 21, 1912, to September 5, 1997. During his life, he was the conductor of Hungarian-British orchestras and operas. He won an astonishing 31 Grammy Awards in his life. From 1969 to 1991, he was the music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In fact, he was named the only Music Director Laureate ever in the history of that orchestra. Other people have come close to this amount of Grammy awards, but none have yet surpassed it.

The person who has the second most wins is still living, so there is a possibility that the answer to this question could change at some point.
