  • Snickers - This candy bar is the best selling bar of all time and it was introduced in 1930.  It was named after a horse owned by the Mars family.  
  • Reese’s - The peanut butter cup was created by Harry Reese, who worked for Milton Hershey. They were first made in 1923.
  • Kit Kat - This bar came out in 1935. It was originally from the UK and called Rowntree's Chocolate Crisp and is now made by Nestle.
  • Butterfinger - Not only is this a great seller, it is a favorite for mixing with soft ice cream. It was created by the Curtiss Candy Company in 1923 and is now produced by Nestle.  It was named for a slang expression for someone who is clumsy or an athlete who has trouble holding onto the ball.
  • Milky Way - Introduced in 1924, it was based on a popular malted milk drink at the time.  It was made by the Mars Company.
  • 3 Musketeers - This was the third candy bar made by the Mars Company and was created in 1932.
  • Baby Ruth - This bar was introduced in 1920 and was named after the daughter of President Grover Cleveland.  It is made by Nestle.  
  • Oh Henry - This candy bar has been around since 1920 and is a favorite of many of the older generation.  It was made by the Williamson Candy Company and is now made by Nestle.
  • Hershey Bar - The original bar of the Hershey Company is considered by some to be America’s first candy bar. The recipe for milk chocolate was developed by Milton Hershey in 1900. It was followed by Hershey’s Kisses in 1906.
  • Twix - Created by the Mars Company, Twix is a cookie covered in caramel and chocolate.  It was produced in the UK in 1967 and came to the United States in 1979
