Why Is the Number Seven Considered Lucky?

Why is the number seven considered lucky? The number seven has been considered a lucky number since ancient times.  Ancient religions had seven gods, there are seven chakras, Islam has seven heavens and seven articles of faith, and seven is mentioned in the Bible more than any other number.  Let’s try and figure out why the number seven is considered lucky.  

Let’s look first at the religious significance of the lucky number seven to determine why seven is considered lucky.  Most people have heard of the seven deadly sins:

The solar system in ancient times had seven bodies: Sun, moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.  Pythagoras believed that seven is a perfect number because it was 3 +4, which is a triangle plus a square.  Since he was the Father of Numerology, his belief could have contributed to people believing seven is lucky.    

In Numerology, number seven is the most spiritual of all numbers.  People who have a seven are deep thinkers, introspective, and quite.  They are often psychic, intuitive, wise, and reserved.  The number seven is a spiritual vibration but is also lucky.  When you add the numbers of the day of your birth, you will have a very lucky life if that number is divisible by seven.

Lastly, it is important to note that the number seven is not always considered lucky.  In China, seven is considered a ghostly number and the seventh month in the Chinese calendar is the Ghost Month.  The gates of hell are open during this month.  If you break a mirror, you will have seven years of bad luck.
