Some loyal fans will never forget the cliffhanger series finale to "The Sopranos" when "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey rang through the air. In fact, the reason that A3 became famous is because of the theme song to the Sopranos, which is called "Woke Up This Morning." Through this endeavor, they were able to achieve international fame.
A3 has an extremely unique style, as they blend together the sounds of rock, dance, blues, country, and gospel. Starting in August of 2007, the group began a tour under the name of Alabama 3: Acoustic and Unplugged, with Harpo Strangelove and Devin Love in order to promote their newest album M.O.R. Two months later, they toured the United Kingdom with Republic of Loose. In February of 2008, Alabama 3 performed at the final Carbon Casino venture at the Inn on the Green.
As aforementioned, the group has created a set of aliases in order to set themselves apart from other musical acts. A3 consists of:
Although "The Sopranos" is over, it seems that A3 still has a bright future ahead of them. Since the hit television show ended, they have still had a number of musical accomplishments. Rob Love wrote and recorded the theme song to Y Pris, and in turn, won the Best Original Music Soundtrack award with John Hardy at BAFTA Cymru in 2008. Furthermore, their song "Mansion on a Hill" was used with the opening credits of Irvine Welsh and Dean Cavanagh's 2009 film Good Arrows.
